- Dehousy (Silent Kraft/Resources) - UK DEBUT
Mysterious on stage, Dehousy produces optimistic techno, with catchy melodies - filled with originality, character, musicality and technique. Percussionist and pianist during his early days, his boundless thirst to learn, allowed him to develop a unique style. During the early 2010’s his music skimmed over Grime and UK bass, influences which are still evident his DJ sets.
Crucially, in recent years, his exotic percussions have had an active part to play in the revival of the Parisian scene. While polishing his compositions, Dehousy travels across the world with one thing in mind - setting the dancefloor on fire and passing on a richer and more lively story to the public.
- Julien de Castilho (Silent Kraft) - LIVE - UK DEBUT
Julien is an artist who combines techno, bass, breaks and power. Filled with disturbing sounds, his live sets are a combination of intense machinery. He is the founde of the collective named Silent Kraft, in Rennes, which as well as inviting us last December, has invited artists such as Clouds, Shifted and Randomer.
- Kenny Mulligan (Resonate/Wax Factory) - LIVE
Glaswegian, DJ Kenny Mulligan, moved to London in 1988, at the age of 15, and came upon his first Acid House rave! A year later, in 89, he returned home with his new record and began DJing and promoting parties around Scotland.
In 1993, returning to London, he witnessed the birth of UK/London Acid Techno, following sound systems such as Virus, Jiba, Vox Populi, Insanity, Large Salad Discotheque, Spiral Tribe, Exodus Collective, Immersion and the Liberators DJs. He also formed the Acid Army crew with fellow DJs.
He has played tirelessly since then, around the UK & Europe, sharing the stage with with the likes of DJ Pierre, K A Shelby , 808 State, Joey Beltram, Aphex Twin , Jerome Hill, Dexorcist, Dave Angel , Frank De Wulf, Speedy J & Perc. Notably, Kenny has also built strong connections in Belgium, Holland and Greece - he might not admit it but he's a bit of a household name there!
In 2014, he started two new projects alongside each other. In Glasgow, Wax Factory came about to represent the harder edged techno he loved...and in London, Resonate started as a base for small-scale experimental/electronic artists. Both are now thriving and have a reputation for staying firmly committed to the grass roots of the scene. If this didn't keep him busy enough, Kenny has since launched a new record label called Dirty Slates Records and started a new radio show on Hoxton FM.
He's a man of many talents and many words - warrior of the 303 and authentic techno!!!!
- Justin Paton (MottoMotto/Now) - LIVE
Justin is an acid house and hardware fanatic. "I first heard Acid House whilst parked outside a Portsmouth nightclub in 1988 when a tape was put on and out came Phuture's 'We Are Phuture'. That was it for me"!
26 years later, he got a 303 and hasn't looked back since. He has released a double vinyl 12", called 'My Acid House', on MottoMotto Records, and a bunch of download albums, mostly on Beauty & Disgust Records. He's also had one wicked release, 'Acid, Acid Azarak', on Freaksville Records.
- Medallion Man b2b Juggins
The two Loose Lips founders come together for a special b2b - it's been a while ey'!
